About TT Baciu

Teodor Teofil Baciu is a contemporary Romanian artist, born on February 27, 1959.

He began painting at the age of 7, his first graphic representation being the Christian cross, a premonition of his artistic path. He attended the Octav Băncilă Art High School in Iaşi starting in the fifth grade.

After graduating from high school, he continued to paint. Thanks to his talent and hard work, TT Baciu developed a unique personal style. Over time, he created paintings on canvas, wood, murals, graphic works and sketches. His original style is found in all his works: compositions, portraits, landscapes, flowers, etc.

TT Baciu participated in numerous solo or collective exhibitions, including: Youth House in Iaşi (1976); Victoria Hall in Iaşi (1978, 1982); Iaşi Airport; Mihai Eminescu Museum in Iaşi (1984); Army House in Iaşi (1989); Palace of Culture in Iaşi (1992, 1997); Johannesburg, South Africa (1998); Central Hall in Iaşi (2000); Moldova Mall in Iaşi (2011).

Many of his works have been exhibited and sold abroad – in Great Britain, Germany, France, Greece, South Africa, Italy, the United States and China.

Romanian art critic Radu Negru (1933-1997) recognized the artist's talent and works and appreciated them as a considerable value of contemporary art.
